WINSIDE – Take part during Winside’s Old Settlers weekend during Father’s Day from Friday, June 15 – Sunday, June 17.
Friday will feature slow pitch softball, three-on-three basketball along with live music in the evening. Chad & Mitch will provide music at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Moving into Saturday, there’ll be a 5k Run/Walk starting at 8:30 a.m. from Winside High School. Cost is $20 for 5k and $10 for kids fun run. A sand volleyball tournament will also be going on at 9 a.m. along with an “Almost Golf” Tournament.
The slow pitch softball tourney and three-on-three basketball will continue into Saturday.
A five-point pitch tournament will be held for $10 a team at the Legion Hall at 2 p.m. Hansen’s Petting Zoo will be open from 4 – 7 p.m. at the Tennis Courts along with a Lawn Mower & Golf Cart Poker Run starting at 4:30 p.m.
The Food Court opens from 5 – 9 p.m. on Saturday with a Street Dance featuring Mason Michaels & Backroad Spirits from 7 p.m. – 1 a.m. being held. Entry cost is $10 per person as all gate proceeds will go toward park renovations.
Closing out the weekend will be the Fourth annual Gene Topp Memorial Car/Truck/Tractor Show from 1 – 4 p.m.
Also, from 1 – 4 p.m. will be an Open House for Lied Winside Public Library and the Winside Museum. Hansen’s Petting Zoo will be open during that same time.
