October LifeServe Blood Drives Scheduled

WAYNE – Several northeast Nebraska communities and high schools will be hosting upcoming blood drives in the month of October as COVID-19 precautions continue to be put in place.

According to a release from LifeServe Blood Center, the group is asking community members to book an appointment to give blood.

Blood drives will be hosted by Coleridge and Hartington on Monday, October 19; Laurel, Wayne and Ponca on Wednesday, October 21 and Randolph on Wednesday, October 28.

To help ensure the safety of blood donors and team members during this COVID-19 pandemic, LifeServe is enforcing several precautionary measures. Appointments are required as donors who do not have an appointment will not be able to give blood; blood donors should pre-screen themselves for fever prior to appointments as only donors with temperatures under 99.5 will be allowed to donate and blood donors are required to wear a mask for the duration of their appointment as those who do not have masks will be provided with one.

Schedule a blood donation appointment online at lifeservebloodcenter.org or call 800-287-4903.
