GREGG COUNTY, TX – A Northeast Nebraskan is being credited with keeping a Texas woman from selling her daughter for sex.
According to Texas television KETK, 44-year old Carrie Songer Kelly is in jail facing a felony charge of sexual performance by a child.
According to court documents, a Wayne resident called Wayne Police to say that he had been contacted by Kelly over social media, offering to bring him her eight-year old daughter for sexual intercourse in exchange for $100.
Wayne Police contacted authorities in Long View, Texas in December, which began an investigation into Kelly.
Over the course of the investigation, police also found pornographic videos that Kelly is alleged to have made featuring the child.
She was booked into jail earlier this month on $200,000 bond.
