SOUTH SIOUX CITY – Monday morning Governor Pete Ricketts and the Nebraska Department of Education recognized Nebraska high school students for their academic achievement.
In total, 22 individuals earned the top score of 36 on the ACT college entrance exam. There was a recognition ceremony held at the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln.
Governor Ricketts addressed the students, “Wherever your college plans may take you, I hope you will continue to make Nebraska your home as you start your careers and raise a family.”
Nebraska Department of Education Commissioner Matt Blomstedt and ACT’s Nebraska State Lead Rob Dennis joined the Governor to honor the graduation Nebraska seniors earning the highest possible composite scores on the exam. Each student was presented with a certificate recognizing their achievement in academic excellence.
