North Fork Area Transit Seeking Approval On Proposed Route, ARPA Funds Grant Application On Commissioners Agenda

WAYNE – A handful of appointments will make up the regularly scheduled Wayne County Board of Commissioners meeting.

From the Public Safety Annex, the Tuesday morning meeting will begin at 9 a.m.

County offices will have an opportunity to provide updates and reports to the board before Amy Topp with Nebraska Extension will bring forth an update on Nebraska Extension in Wayne County.

Nic Kemnitz, Wayne County Emergency Manager will also update the board on emergency management as well as the Wayne County Fair.

Amy Miller, County Attorney will be on hand for final approval of the Adult Diversion Program MOU (Memorandum of Understanding).

Ignacia Gonzalez with the North Fork Area Transit is seeking to provide a transit route into Wayne County. This would include the City of Wayne as well as surrounding areas and will have more information at this morning’s meeting.

An action item to purchase a used motor grader for District #2 (Dean Burbach) along with updates will be provided with Highway Superintendent, Mark Casey.

Wayne County Board of Commissioners will conclude the meeting by taking action on a proposed State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF) grant application along with addressing ARPA funds.
