NNPHD Reports Six New COVID-19 Positive Cases, 13 Residents Have Recovered

WAYNE – All four counties within the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District saw at least one COVID-19 positive test.

According to a release from NNPHD, two residents in Cedar and Thurston county tested positive while one resident in Dixon and Wayne county also tested positive. There were also nine negative tests confirmed.

As of Thursday evening, there have been 1,358 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties. The results of these tests are 256 positive cases (Cedar – 13, Dixon – 50, Thurston – 166 and Wayne county – 27) and 1,054 negative tests. Also, 13 more residents have recovered bringing the total to 125.

NNPHD Health officials are also working on a reporting process for hospitalizations and deaths.
