NNPHD Reports 26 Negative COVID-19 Tests, Two Patients Recover

WAYNE – Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department officials received good news going into the weekend with no new COVID-19 cases.

According to a release from NNPHD, 26 negative tests were confirmed along with two more recoveries.

As of Thursday evening, there have been 1,386 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties. The results of these tests remain at 256 positive cases (Cedar – 13, Dixon – 50, Thurston – 166 and Wayne county – 27) and 1,080 negative tests. Also, two more residents have recovered bringing the total to 127.

NNPHD Health officials are also working on a reporting process for hospitalizations and deaths.
