NNPHD Reports 18 Negative Tests, One More COVID-19 Recovery

WAYNE – Following a weekend of near double digit COVID-19 positive cases, health officials with the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department are reporting no new cases.

According to a release from NNPHD, 18 residents tested negative while one more person recovered from the coronavirus.

As of Tuesday evening, there have been 1,448 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties. The results of these tests remain at 265 positive cases (Cedar – 17, Dixon – 53, Thurston – 168 and Wayne county – 27) and 1,121 negative tests. With one more person recovering, there have now been 148 recoveries.

NNPHD Health officials are also working on a reporting process for hospitalizations and deaths.
