NNPHD Health District COVID-19 Positive Case Total Remains Steady At 141

WAYNE – A positive came out of the first day of the month as there were no new cases of COVID-19 confirmed in the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department Health District. This marks just the first time in over two weeks.

According to a release from NNPHD, of the 12 tests the district received back from Monday, none were positive. The last time there were zero positive cases of COVID-19 reported was on May 15. Since then there have been 77 total cases in that time span.

As of Monday evening, there have been 958 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne Counties. The results of these tests remained at 141 positive cases (Cedar – 8, Dixon – 32, Thurston – 85 and Wayne county – 16), 773 negatives and 44 tests currently pending results.

As far as any cases, when NNPHD releases someone from isolation the health department no longer follows them to see how they are doing as the report from the health department does not include number of hospitalizations or recoveries.
