WAYNE – As a local health department risk dial is moving in the right direction, health officials remind residents to keep up the precautions and follow the guidance to keep it on the downward trend.
According to a release from the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department, the COVID-19 Risk Dial saw another slight decrease but still in the orange (High) category.
NNPHD health officials state that the dial is designed to help you better understand the current risk of getting the virus in their area. As of Wednesday’s post, seven people are currently hospitalized while another 50 have been discharged. There have been eight deaths in the health district with two additional deaths pending investigation.
The daily case report saw an increase of 42 positives. New positives since last report/total positives/total number recovered for the counties of Cedar (10/212/108); Dixon (2/184/126); Thurston (10/401/311) and Wayne (20/377/211).
Of the 1,174 total positives, 756 have since recovered.
