New Staff Member Joins Center For Rural Affairs

LYONS – As the Center for Rural Affairs continues to provide tools for small businesses, the group recently hired a loan specialist.

According to a release on Wednesday, the Center for Rural Affairs made the addition of Lori Schrader to the staff. Her role will include working with new and existing small businesses to help them develop business plans, obtain funding and receive training. The one-on-one business counseling is provided at no cost.

Schrader brings in several years of experience from the banking industry as well as commercial and personal insurance to the Center’s small business program, the Rural Enterprise Assistance Project (REAP).

Schrader will be assisting local businesses in 12 counties. Those include Antelope, Burt, Cedar, Cuming, Dixon, Dakota, Knox, Madison, Pierce, Stanton, Thurston, and Wayne . Her office is based in Lyons and can be reached at 402-687-2100 (ext. 1026) or 402-870-7070 and by email at loris@cfra.org.
