NORFOLK – A community college in northeast Nebraska will continue their fall registration sessions following an upcoming holiday break.
According to a release from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, all offices in Norfolk and its extended campuses in O’Neill, South Sioux City and West Point will be closed on Monday, July 5 in observance of Independence Day. The college and its extended campuses will re-open on Tuesday, July 6 at 8 a.m.
Second session summer classes at Northeast Community College will begin on Monday, July 12 as registration sessions for the Fall 2021 semester will continue. Fall classes begin Monday, August 23.
New Student Registration sessions will be held in the College Welcome Center on the Northeast campus in Norfolk on Tuesday, July 20 at 8:15 a.m. and Thursday, August 5 at 1:45 p.m.
Students who plan to take the majority of their classes at Northeast’s extended campuses in O’Neill, South Sioux City or West Point are asked to contact the specific location to make an appointment.
New, incoming students are reminded that their ACT, SAT or MAP scores must be on file at NECC before registration. If a student has not taken a placement test, they are encouraged to contact the Northeast Testing Center at 402-844-7281 or the extended campus in South Sioux City at 402-241-6400 to schedule an appointment to complete the test prior to registration. Those completing the testing prior to registration will expedite the registration process and finish earlier than those who have not been tested.
Any student who has not attended Northeast in the past or is not a current student, should call the Admissions and Registration Office at 402-844-7260 about filling out an application and signing up for a registration session.
An orientation session for new students on the Norfolk campus is planned for Friday, August 20 beginning at 9 a.m. in the Cox Activities Center gymnasium. The campus will remain open until 6 p.m. that day.
