Nebraska State Parks Wants To Hear Your State Park Memories Throughout Its Centennial Year

LINCOLN – Nebraska Game and Parks wants to hear your most memorable state park experience. They want to know about your firsts, fails, wildlife encounters, and other sentimental events that occurred inside one of Nebraska’s 78 state parks.

This is the centennial year for Nebraska’s state park system. The first park was Chadron State Park, founded in 1921.

Use the hashtag #NEParks100, when sharing your stories on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. Additionally, you can share your story online through the park’s web-based form at this link. The park will re-share your stories and pictures throughout its centennial year.

The park system includes state parks, historical parks, recreation areas, and recreational trails. There is a park within an hour drive of every Nebraskan today.
