WAYNE – Nebraska Cancer Specialists (NCS) announced the opening of a new clinic at Pender Community Hospital. The mission of both NCS and Pender Community Hospital is to provide the best patient care. The opening of this clinic aligns with that mission and will allow for convenient access for current and future patients.
Danielle Geiger, Nebraska Cancer Specialists Practice Administrator, said that easy access is the healthcare of the future and she looks forward to offering that around Pender.
On June 17th, M. Salman Haroon MD, began seeing patients at the Pender Community Hospital. The cancer clinic will include: consultation appointments; follow-up visits; side-effect management; referrals to NCS providers for genetic counseling; nutrition services; mental health counseling; occupational therapy; financial advocates; social work; and clinical trials.
Haroon mentioned that they are looking forward to expanding the NCS footprint. Also, Haroon noted that it’s really about personalized care and offering their cutting-edge therapies in a convenient location.
