NDOT US-20, US-275 Projects To Begin This Week

NORFOLK – A pair of road projects will begin this week in northeast Nebraska.

According to a release from the Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT), weather permitting, work will begin on Monday, March 29 on US-20 and bridge work on Thursday, April 1 on US-275.

Knife River Midwest of Sioux City, Iowa, has the $9,980,000 contract for the US-20 project north of Dixon to south of Martinsburg. Work includes bridge, culvert, asphalt surfacing and grading work. Traffic will be maintained with a 12-foot width restriction, flaggers and a pilot car.

Anticipated completion is December 2021.

 

Then bridge work will be done between Beemer and Wisner later this week on US-275 as traffic will be restricted to one lane at various locations and will be controlled with temporary traffic signals. Anticipated completion is mid-September.

Again, motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up and to put your phone down.
