HUBBARD – Due to an unplanned closure of a northeast Nebraska highway, a segment of road will be closed causing area residents to re-route their daily travel.
According to a release from the Nebraska Department of Transportation, Highway 35 southwest of Hubbard will be closing on Monday, September 9. After evaluation by NDOT personnel and the contractor, it has been determined the road will need to be closed for a period of time to facilitate work on the box culvert and to repair an embankment failure.
Highway 35 will be closed three miles southwest of Hubbard starting Monday and work is anticipated to be completed in October of 2019. Traffic should follow the marked detour onto Highways 9 and 20.
