Mushroom Madness Happening Now At Ponca State Park

PONCA – Ponca State Park is again set to host a fun filled day on Saturday, April 13. It all starts at 9 a.m. with an introduction to archery course. Meet at the Eric Wiebe Shooting Complex and enjoy the two-hour course. Participants must be at least five years of age and cost is $1 per six arrows. All equipment is provided.

At 10 a.m. meet at the Resource and Education Center to learn about knots. All participants will receive a paracord as well as a knotting guide to continue practicing after the session. This is a free event.

Finally, at 1 p.m. join in on the Mushroom Madness. A Ponca State Park naturalist will guide you as you scour the Backwater Trail in search of delicious morel mushrooms. Meet at the Riverfront and look for the white van for this free event.
