Missouri River Outdoor Expo To Offer New Attractions September 21-22

PONCA – In about a month a state park in northeast Nebraska will once again host their yearly outdoor expo in mid-September.

According to a release from Ponca State Park, the Nebraska Game and Parks is proud to announce that the 15th annual Missouri River Outdoor Expo is scheduled for Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22. The expo will last from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.

The expo is an opportunity for the entire family to connect with the outdoors through hands-on activities, educational exhibits, vendor displays and featured entertainment.

There’ll be over 90 hands-on activities with something for everyone. Activities include shooting sports; fishing; kayaking; rock climbing; outdoor cooking; logrolling and more. Some new attractions to this year’s expo include Antler Scoring, nerf gun range; TV host Danny Devries off the show “ORIGINS”; Sam Larsen, a Wilderness Survivalist from the History Channel “ALONE” show; a Dutch Oven Cook-Off; Flyball demos; optics and more. Guests and their canines can try their luck at barn hunt, nose work and the Dockdogs aquatic competition.

The Missouri River Outdoor Expo is the largest outdoor expo in the midwest thanks to the generosity of sponsors and over 900 volunteers. A reminder that there is a $6 park entry fee per Nebraska licensed vehicle ($30 annual) and an $8 fee per out-of-state licensed vehicle ($45 annual).
