PENDER – An employee at Pender Community Hospital recently received the 2019 Quint Studer Difference Maker Award from Huron’s Studer Group business.
According to a release from Pender Community Hospital (PCH), Huron | Studer Group made the announcement Tuesday that Mike Raasch was presented with the award.
Mr. Raasch is a maintenance mechanic at Pender Community Hospital District. He was recognized as a difference maker for his positive impact in ensuring Pender Community Hospital District patients and staff have a clean and safe environment to receive and provide care.
The Quint Studer Difference Maker Award honors individuals that embody the personal and professional values that are making a difference in the healthcare industry. Individuals from across the industry were encouraged to nominate a peer or colleague at any level and in any department of their healthcare organization.
The award was presented at the 17th annual What’s Right in Health Care® leading practices conference, which took place August 13-15 in Dallas, Texas. Joining Mike Raasch on stage for the 2019 Difference Maker Award were Paul Edwards, COO; Lisa Raasch, Surgical Tech (Mike’s Wife); Britney Kaup, HR Director and JJ Maise, Facilities Manager.
The conference attracts administrative and clinical healthcare professionals from the U.S., Canada and Australia.
