WAYNE – A mid-March day will feature a World Speech Day celebration for all to speak freely on any topic.
Scheduled for Friday, March 15 plan on visiting the Kanter Student Center on the campus of Wayne State College from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. to express yourself in a nonjudgmental forum.
According to a release from WSC, engaging activities include “Spin the Wheel of Ideas” and “Pin Your Ideas to the Wall.” Participants who speak for one minute are eligible to win WSC gear. WSC students can gain opportunities for extra credit.
The event is free and open to college and high school students as well as community members from Wayne and surrounding areas.
World Speech Day at WSC is hosted by the Organizational Leadership Class. Their vision statement for this event is: “Encouraging tomorrow’s leaders through innovative discussion to reinvigorate the excitement of public speaking through World Speech Day.”
