Main Street Garage Welcomes In Community, Celebrates Second Anniversary

WAYNE – Owners of Main Street Garage celebrated their second year in the community of Wayne during a weekly event put on by Wayne Area Economic Development.

Attendees stopped by Main Street Garage located at 614 Main Street to hear from Doug and Bridget Korth or watched through the Wayne, NE Facebook page Friday morning.

During the first few weeks when COVID really hit the area, business slowed down. Bridget Korth said Main Street Garage has picked up right where they left off.

“Business has been really good lately,” said Bridget. “We’re trying to clean all the high-touch points in vehicles and try to keep the office super clean. So, people feel comfortable coming in and know that we’re taking their health seriously.”

In the last year, Main Street Garage has added towing to their business along with being a TechNet dealer.

Main Street Garage, who is celebrating their second-year anniversary, is open Monday through Thursday 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m. along with Friday’s from 7:30 a.m. until noon and closed on the weekends. Once school returns, Main Street Garage will go back to all day on Friday’s. They also offer 24/7 roadside assistance and towing services.

Main Street Garage repairs anything bumper-to-bumper as Doug Korth brings in nearly a quarter of a century of experience.

“This is my 24th year of doing this professionally,” Doug Korth added. “I’m ASE certified, Ford certified and we have the knowledge to fix anything you need done.”

Doug Korth also mentioned Main Street Garage has partnered with Tint Specialties and Specialty Rides during Cruise Main in Wayne.

“We’ve had really good turnouts so far along with the other non-cruise-main in Wayne (events),” Doug Korth mentioned. “It’s just really good seeing people get out, get their old cars out and just being able to get out of the house.”

The next Cruise Main in Wayne is scheduled for Friday, August 21.
