Eric Johnson, Vice President of The Center for Enterprise at Northeast Community College outlined for attendees the services provided to help businesses of all sizes improve their growth and efficiency.

“It was an overview of the Center for Enterprise at Northeast Community College, which is our business and industry outreach department, we operate like any entrepreneur organization would,” said Johnson. “We go into businesses, find out what their needs are through our discovery process as I shared with the group today and we try to exceed their needs through training and development. There’s lots of different ways to go to market. Some of those are done in the hybrid fashion, some of them done face-to-face and other ones are done online. But, the workforce we’re in right now with the workforce shortage, unemployment where it’s at, we’ve got to get batter at retaining our existing talent. Recruitment of new talent into the area is obviously a need. The local economic development groups do a great job of that. It’s our B&I outreach, whether it’s the smallest mom & pop entrepreneur on the street corner or the largest industry that we have within our counties, we’re willing to work with all of them to come up with workforce training solutions.”
