WAYNE – With a change in the November Mobile Food Pantry schedule, those needing food or looking to volunteer can stop by Journey Christian Church this weekend.
Normally held on the last Saturday of the month and at Our Savior Lutheran Church, the event will be moved to Saturday, November 10. The Omaha food bank truck delivery will last form 10 – 11:30 a.m. from Journey Christian Church which is located at 1110 East 7th Street.
The church asks for those who attend to bring boxes or bags to assist in carrying food. For questions regarding distribution, contact First United Methodist Church at 402-375-2231.
Volunteers are also needed throughout the day.
From 8:30 – 9 a.m., the room will be setup where folding chairs need to be stacked and tables set out. Food will be unloaded from the truck and arranged on the tables from 9 – 10 a.m. for distribution from 10 – 11:30 a.m. Following the Wayne Food Truck event, the room will be put back to its original arrangement from 11:30 a.m. until Noon.
