Local Pheasants Forever Banquet Returns March 18, Regional Representative Interview To Air On KTCH/KCTY Thursday

WAYNE – After taking a couple of years off due to COVID-19, the Logan Creek Pheasants Forever Annual Banquet will return this weekend.

From the Beaumont Event & Concert Hall located at 2611 North Highway 15 (just north of Wayne), the 30th annual Logan Creek Pheasants Forever Banquet is scheduled for Friday, March 18.

Aaron Williams is the Regional Field Representative at Pheasants Forever who serves eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. He serves as a liaison between the local chapters and the home office in Minneapolis, Minnesota as Williams looks to support the local chapters.

“Whether that’s helping them plan for their banquets, execute events, do some local fundraising,” said Williams. “Then on the national side I have some fundraising that I do for them as well as collect all the habitat information because after all we are the habitat organization.”

Pheasants Forever in Nebraska has over 10,000 members among 60+ chapters.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. as a steak dinner with a fish option will be available with supper being served at 7 p.m.

Williams added there’ll be plenty of fun games going on all evening.

“We have the three gun board raffle, a royal flush card game to play, pheasant plinko, mad hadders, the live and silent auctions,” Williams added. “Really a great event to come out and support.”

Local chapters have 100% control of where their funds go after they’re raised.

With limited tickets remaining, stop by Copy Write at 216 Main Street or contract Jim Modrell at 402-369-0084; Scott Barg at 402-369-1061 or Scott Brummond at 402-375-0747 for ticket information.

Williams mentioned the banquet will offer a great night of evening fun and more to honor the Logan Creek Chapter.

“Since 1990 this chapter specifically has done 1,966 projects impacting over 67,000 acres right there in Wayne County,” Williams mentioned. “So, just a lot to celebrate when we can come together and talk about the mission of pheasants forever and what we’re doing on the local level.”

Friday morning chamber coffee will also be held at 10 a.m. from the Beaumont Event & Concert Hall. A sneak preview will be offered for those to tour the venue, see the items and a chance to recognize the sponsors. *The Northeast Nebraska Legislative Forum that was scheduled for March 18 has been cancelled. Due to other commitments, the State Senators that were invited are unable to attend. Contact Luke Virgil at lvirgil@wayneworks.org with any questions.
