Local Grocery Store To Host Friday Morning Chamber Coffee

WAYNE – Community members are once again invited to a weekly Chamber Coffee event put on by the Wayne Area Economic Development office.

This week’s host will be Pac N Save, located at 1115 West 7th Street, on Friday, November 8 at 10 a.m.

Pac N Save is a full-service grocery story carrying a large variety of products.

Manager of Pac N Save, Adam Endicott said they also provide a lot of different services.

“Whether it’s dry cleaning drop-off/pick-up, we have a rug doctor, we have U-Haul,” said Endicott. “The deli does caterings for large events for weddings and also does caterings for small events. We also sell books now, greeting cards, just about anything you can think of we have.”

If the store doesn’t have it, they’ll try and accommodate your request.

Pac N Save started in 1985 with their Seward store before expanding to Wayne in 1987. Owners Don and Nancy Endicott also had a third store in Carroll, IA from 1998 until 2009.

From the beginning, Don and Nancy Endicott didn’t want to wait for people to come to them and started going out supporting the community.

“Throughout the years they’ve continued that,” Adam Endicott. “Kim (Accounting/HR) and I have taken over in doing that. We like to be out there, we like to help the community, we like to support the community. The community has always been very supportive of Pac N Save and our families.”

Another new item that Pac N Save has been working on was recently partnering with A Hill of Beans Coffee which is a single batch roaster out of Omaha. They now carry that line of coffee in their bulk bins.
