Local Event To Raise Money For Wetlands, Waterfowl Conservation

WAYNE – The Wayne Area Chapter of Ducks Unlimited will host its 14th annual Auction and Member Banquet fundraiser for wetlands and waterfowl conservation on Friday November 2.

The Banquet will take place at the Beaumont Event & Concert Hall, 2611 N Hwy 15. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with a live auction to follow as all are welcome to join for dinner, exciting prizes and a good time while helping support wetlands conservation.

Tickets are available by contacting Kent Bearnes at 402-360-5005. Bearnes is from Laurel and is the chairman of the organized Wayne Area Chapter of Ducks Unlimited committee.

The event will give local residents an opportunity to get involved in a practical conservation program and have a good time as well.

Ducks unlimited is the world’s largest wetlands, waterfowl and wildlife conservation organization. The organization has conserved more than 13 million acres of wetlands and related waterfowl habitat since 1937, thanks to contributions from more than a million supporters and members from across the continent.

Ducks Unlimited will also be celebrating their 81st year.
