WAYNE – The first City Council of 2020 is scheduled for Tuesday evening where council will take action on a liquor control commission manager application and hear a presentation on the upcoming 2020 census.
From the council chambers inside the Wayne City Hall, the meeting will start at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 7.
The City of Wayne received the Nebraska Liquor Control (NLC) Manager Application from Cindi Stolze on behalf of the Cobblestone Hotel. Stolze will attend Tuesday’s meeting to introduce herself and answer any questions for the Wayne Hospitality Group.
Jean Grove will also be in attendance to provide a presentation regarding the upcoming 2020 census. She’ll also go over the importance of the data collected.
A second reading is also scheduled to amend Wayne Municipal Code Title XV ‘Land Usage’ to schedule the minimum of off-street parking and loading requirements.
Another agenda item will formally approve Olsson to provide construction engineering services for the Wayne Trail – Phase 2 Project. The On-Call Construction Engineering Services Task Order between the City of Wayne and Olsson will be an agreement for a maximum amount of $379,522.40. The completion of this project is estimated to be October 31 of 2020.
Towards the end of the meeting, councilmembers will discuss when to utilize professional services and to what extent. The mayor and city staff would like to have a thorough conversation about this topic.
