LifeServe Blood Drives: Early May Schedule

WAYNE – A trio of early May community blood drives are being scheduled in northeast Nebraska.

According to LifeServe Blood Center, it’s time to spring into action.

Blood can’t be created in a lab and there’s no substitute for it. When a local patient needs a transfusion, that lifesaving liquid is provided by LifeServe blood donors.

The communities of Wakefield, Allen and Bancroft will be hosting these blood drive events in May. Schedule a blood donation appointment online at lifeservebloodcenter.org or call 800-287-4903.

Wednesday, May 5: Wakefield Community Blood Drive from 1 – 5 p.m. at Christian Church of Wakefield (303 Johnson Street)

Thursday, May 13: Allen Community Blood Drive from 4:30 – 7:20 p.m. at the Legion Hall (104 2nd Street).

Thursday, May 13: Bancroft-Rosalie High School and Community Blood Drive from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Bancroft Rosalie Public Schools (708 Main Street).

To help ensure the safety of blood donors and team members during this COVID-19 pandemic, LifeServe is enforcing several precautionary measures. Appointments are required as donors who do not have an appointment will not be able to give blood; blood donors should pre-screen themselves for a fever prior to appointments as only donors with temperatures under 99.5 will be allowed to donate and blood donors are required to wear a mask for the duration of their appointment as donors who do not have masks will be provided with one.
