LifeServe Blood Center Blood Drives August 9, 12

HARTINGTON/BANCROFT – A pair of northeast Nebraska LifeServe Blood Center events are scheduled for early August.

According to a release from LifeServe, the group is asking community members to give blood to help patients in local hospitals this summer.

Travel, outdoor fun, boating and other summer activities can all lead to an increase in traumas in local emergency rooms. Many of these patients will require blood transfusions as part of their treatment or recovery. To ensure blood is available for the predicted increased need, you are asked to give blood at an upcoming blood drive in your community.

Schedule a blood donation appointment online at lifeservebloodcenter.org or call 800-287-4903.

Monday, August 9: Hartington Community Blood Drive from 12:30 – 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (106 West Centre St.)

Thursday, August 12: Bancroft Community Blood Drive from 3 – 6:30 p.m. at 107 Poplar St. in Bancroft

Other LifeServe Blood Drive events being scheduled in the month of August include Coleridge on Monday, August 16; Randolph on Thursday, August 19 and Laurel on Friday, August 20.
