WINSIDE – The monthly meeting for Roy Reed Unit 252, American Legion Auxiliary will be held on the first Saturday of the October.
According to a release from the auxiliary, the meeting will start at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 3 from the Post Home.
The unit will conduct a ‘Draping of the Charter’ ceremony for Evelyn Herbolsheimer who passed on September 13.
Members are also being reminded to return their greeting cards they plan on making for the residents of the Norfolk Veterans Home so they may be delivered soon.
Memberships are coming in but there are still 20 remaining unpaid for 2021. Make sure to bring your dues to the meeting on Saturday and get your new card in return. Senior dues are $25 while Junior dues are $5.
Scholarship applications through the Nebraska American Legion Auxiliary have been provided to the Winside Public School. Check with your Guidance Counselor for more details.
