Leadership Wayne XIII Applications Being Accepted, September 3 Deadline

WAYNE – For the 13th year Wayne Area Economic Development office will be offering a leadership program and are currently searching for participants looking to expand their leadership skills.

Leadership Wayne is a partnership of WAED and University of Nebraska Extension.

Assistant Director with WAED, Irene Mock said this program encourages citizen led growth.

“We try to provide the students in the class for an opportunity for a personal discovery in a personal development,” said Mock. “A way to develop some leadership skills or improve what they already have for leadership skills.”

Leadership Wayne is open to anyone who wants to build new skill sets, network, expand leadership in career settings or personal growth and more.

The first class will be Tuesday, September 14 as the group meets on the second Tuesday of the month from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. for eight months (February’s session will be extended from 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. to visit the State Capitol). Each month, Leadership Wayne will meet at a different location addressing a different leadership topic with a different food service provided for lunch. A graduation ceremony will conclude Leadership Wayne Class XIII in April with a certificate of completion.

Cost is $199 per participant as the application and fees are due by Friday, September 3. WAED accepts payments through check or credit card as invoices are available upon request. Class size will be limited to 20.
