Leadership Nebraska Class XIII Announced

LINCOLN – Earlier this month the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry revealed the members of its new Leadership Nebraska class.

According to a release from the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry, this year’s class is the 13th in program history and features 29 individuals from 17 different communities.

Northeast Nebraska representatives are Dr. Tracy Kruse from Northeast Community College in Norfolk, David Chochon with Great Plains State Bank in O’Neill and Kevin Black with Pinnacle Bank in Wisner.

Leadership Nebraska was founded in 2006 to identify current and emerging leaders throughout the state, enhance their leadership skills and deepen their knowledge of the challenges and opportunities facing Nebraska.

Participants have been selected from all across the state and possess varied backgrounds and diverse talents. All candidates have demonstrated an abiding interest in Nebraska and its future.

The program consists of six sessions covering a broad range of key Nebraska issues including economic development, health care, education, agriculture, government and policy development. Due to restrictions associated with Covid-19, the start date for Class XIII has been delayed with orientation beginning in September and sessions concluding in April of 2021.

As Nebraska faces complex challenges in this new economy, chamber officials state well-informed, connected leaders who are ready to serve their fellow Nebraskans are needed.

Also, effective June 1, the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce & Industry will be relocating. Their new address will be 3 Landmark Centre, Suite 302, 1128 Lincoln Mall, Lincoln, NE 68508. The office will still be reached at P.O. Box 95128, Lincoln, NE 68509.
