LAUREL – Thursday evening Laurel will host their Night of Lights. The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with the lighting of the downtown Christmas tree by Santa. There will be a soup supper at the City Auditorium that begins at 5:30 p.m. is well. The supper is put on by The United Presbyterian Church.
From 5:30-7 p.m. the Laurel Library Board is sponsoring a photo booth and take-home craft kits located at the City Office.
Those wishing to take pictures with Santa can do so at the Laurel Plantation from 5:45-7:45 p.m. Pictures with Santa are sponsored by the Laurel Girl Scouts and the Laurel Plantation.
From 6-7 p.m. enjoy a Christmas concert featuring Isaac and Anna Chua at Friendly Corner. The concert is put on by EPIC Your Ministry.
At 7:30 p.m. watch a performance by the Laurel Bears Dance Team at the intersection of 2nd and Elm Streets.
Other activities happening will be a Christmas Tree Contest as well as a Scavenger Hunt along with vendor tables at the City Auditorium. There will also be a Holiday Punch Card Raffle at the Auditorium at 8 p.m. Businesses will be open late for all of your holiday shopping needs in the Laurel area.
Throughout the month of December different business host Community Coffee in the morning. Friday’s Community Coffee will be sponsored by Senior Lifestyle Advantage at the City Auditorium from 9-11 a.m. Looking ahead to next weeks Community Coffee the locations will be:

Tuesday sponsored by American Broadband @ Apothecary from 9:30- 10:30 a.m.
Wednesday at the Senior Citizen Center from 9-11 a.m.
