WAYNE – This Valentine’s Day, parents and couples are invited to enjoy an evening together with the help of Wayne State College.
According to a release from WSC, free childcare will be offered from the Fred G. Dale Planetarium on Friday, February 14.
Parents and couples can drop off their children (ages 6-12 years old) at the planetarium anytime between 5:30 – 9 p.m. A reservation must be made and a completed waiver will need to be submitted for each child staying.
The children will enjoy planetarium shows and other activities in the Carhart Science building. as refreshments will also be provided.
This weekend’s kids weekend will feature ‘Zula Patrol’ at 6 p.m., ‘My House Has Stars’ at 7 p.m. and ‘Animals of the Sky’ at 8 p.m. Friday. Saturday’s lone show will be ‘One World, One Sky’ at 2 p.m.
Other upcoming February showings at the WSC planetarium include ‘From Earth to the Universe’ on Friday, February 21 at 7 p.m.; ‘Exoplanets’ at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 22; ‘The Hot and Energetic Universe’ at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 28 as well as ‘Compass, Clock and Calendar’ at 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 29.
