Kids, Adults Invited To Participate In Wayne Public Library Escape Rooms During 12 Days Of Holiday Break Fun

WAYNE – A northeast Nebraska library will offer escape room events for all ages this weekend with the 12 Days of Holiday Break Fun coming to an end.

According to a release from the Wayne Public Library, a kids escape room will be held on Friday, January 3 with an adult escape room on Saturday, January 4. Entries for Book Creator Contest, which began on December 23, are also due Friday.

All were invited to build their own paper storybook and submit their mini book for judging by Friday, January 3.

Participants will need to solve the escape room and attempt to make it out of the library on time.

The Wayne Public Library is located at 410 North Pearl Street.

Times available for the Friday (kids) and Saturday (adult) escape rooms will be 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. with a 4 p.m. time slot also available for Friday.

Other events during the 12 Days of Holiday Break Fun featured Lego Days (12/21-12/22), Book Crafting Day and beginning of Book Creator Contest (12/23), Cookies and Cider Day (12/24), Scavenger Hunt Day (12/27), Puzzles and Game Days (12/28-12/29), Buttons and Bookmarks Day (12/30), Coloring Day (12/31) and Minute to Win It (1/2).

The Wayne Public Library is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.; Friday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Sunday from 2 until 5 p.m.
