JUNE 1 DEADLINE FOR WAYNE WANTS & NEEDS SURVEY

This survey includes your thoughts on housing, recreation, the library, streets and many more

WAYNE – What do YOU think can improve life in Wayne? That’s what The City of Wayne would like to know.

According to City Administrator Wes Blecke, community members are being encouraged to fill out an online survey to help the City gauge what the wants and needs of the constituents are. This survey includes your thoughts on housing, recreation, the library, streets and many more.

Blecke says – ” I also encourage residents to use the comments section to expand on the rankings you make on questions. While this survey data helps the City plan for certain projects and upgrades to the community, it also provides a valuable resource when we apply for grants for various sources.”

HELPS CITY OBTAIN GRANTS

This community “attitude” data assists with grant writing as well as directs us to where the Council should consider directing discretionary funds during the budget cycle. The first likely use of this survey data will be used to apply or a grant from the State of Nebraska to help fund the renovation of the old swimming pool bathhouse into a trail head with an outside restroom and renovated space for meetings/gatherings. We also plan to connect the trail to the old bathhouse with a sidewalk. What other ideas would you like to see in this open park area?
