Jackson-Based Telephone Company Pledging To Keep America Connected

JACKSON – Officials with the Northeast Nebraska Telephone Company is doing their part in the Federal Communications Commission’s response to COVID-19.

According to a release, NNTC will help with the “Keep America Connected Pledge”. The company based out of Jackson will be offering 22 free drive-up wi-fi hotspots open to the public for rural communities throughout northeast Nebraska.

NTTC serves 30 communities in 24 counties in rural northeast Nebraska.

The wi-fi will be available 24/7 for at least 60 days and is available for even non-customers. Just search NNTC_PandemicFreeWiFi and drive close to any of their central offices.

The Northeast Nebraska Telephone Company will also offer an internet discount for each student at home (college or otherwise) with NNTC internet service who needs to continue school-work online.  Customers with a student at home will be offered a 1 GB credit, per closed school day, per student.
