Honor Coffee To Return During Monday’s Board Of Education Meeting

WAYNE – Schools Board members in Wayne will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, October 11.

From the Jr/Sr High School Conference Room (202), the regularly scheduled Wayne Community Schools Board of Education meeting will begin at 5 p.m.

Under new business, the board will take action on a cargo van purchase. Arnie’s Ford provided specs for a 2022 Ford Transit Connect Van per the State Bid. The total cost would be $25,208 with delivery based on upon available of parts from suppliers and plant constraints. Arnie’s states that every effort would be to build and deliver in a timely manner.

A resolution will then be presented on the State Nebraska Bank Corporate Authorization with more information being provided at the meeting.

Board members will also be updated on the technology server, address the constellation natural gas contract and take action on first reading for 7-12 Special Education Instructor Agenda Item Management (AIM).

Superintendent of Wayne Community Schools, Dr. Mark Lenihan will also address certified school valuation along with sharing the 2021-22 option enrollment report. The superintendent appraisal will then be brought forward during this time.

October will mark the return of Honor Coffee and highlight Spanish Honor Society, National Spanish Exam Award, 2021-22 National Honor Society Members and State Nebraska Blue Devil Branch Tellers. Individuals in these groups are invited to attend the Honor Coffee event scheduled for 6:30 p.m. with family and friends being encouraged to attend and share in the recognition.
