WAYNE – Tickets went on sale earlier this week for the first of two dances hosted by the Wayne Elementary Boosters during the school year.
According to a release from WEB, the first event will be the Sixth annual Holiday Daughter Dance for elementary girls in Wayne along with their fathers and father-figures.
This year’s theme is “Hawaiian Luau” and will be held on Friday, December 13 from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at the elementary school.
Tickets are currently being sold for $5 in advance, otherwise they’ll be $8 at the door.
There will be dancing and desserts along with a silent auction with donations from teachers, parents and local businesses. Other events will feature the five dollar photo booth, a raffle for Husker football tickets and more.
The highest amount for any daughter dance in the previous five years was raised last year being over $5,700. There were also the most tickets sold for any dance in five years (325) in 2018.
For those who wish to donate an item to the silent auction, contact Sandy Brown at email@example.com.
The Valentine Son Dance for mothers and mother-figures will be held in February of 2020.
