Hispanic Male Stabbed Multiple Times In Wakefield, Incident Remains Under Investigation

WAKEFIELD – A Monday morning stabbing was reported in a northeast Nebraska community.

According to a release from the Dixon County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call was received from a female at 11:25 a.m. on Monday, November 9 regarding a stabbing that occurred at 205 Highland Street in Wakefield.

The caller stated there was blood all over in the garage and her 34 year old son was missing.

Sheriff deputies were dispatched to the address in Wakefield where, a short time later, the Wayne Police Department received a call from Providence Medical Center that a 34 year old Hispanic male was at the hospital. The individual had multiple stab wounds.

The Hispanic male was then transported to Mercy One Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa due to the seriousness of his injuries.

The incident is still under investigation by the Dixon County Sheriff’s office with the assistance of the Wayne Police Department and the Nebraska State Patrol.
