WAYNE – A northeast Nebraska health district saw their COVID-19 positive case total double over a day entering the weekend.
According to a release from the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department, 10 confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported. Six residents tested positive in Dixon county and another four in Thurston county.
As of Friday evening, there have been 360 COVID-19 tests reported for people living in
the NNPHD Health District of Cedar, Dixon, Thurston and Wayne counties. The results
of these tests include 41 positive cases (Cedar – 5, Dixon – 21, Thurston – 13 and
Wayne county – 2), 275 negatives and 44 tests currently pending results. Age ranges
of the patients include two people in their 20’s, three in their 30’s, two in their 40’s and one each in their 50’s, 70’s and 80’s.
