High water forces closure of Highway 2 near Nebraska City

SIDNEY – The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office reports that the Interstate 29 exit at Nebraska City is closed.

Both the north and southbound ramps are closed because of water over the ramps. It is unknown when they will re-open.

The sheriff office reminds southbound motorists that they is no access to any gas stations until they reach Rock Port, Mo., with is about 68 miles.

The Highway 2 bridge at Nebraska City is also barricaded.
