High Speed Pursuit Ends in Crash

STANTON COUNTY, NE — A Hoskins man is behind bars after leading law enforcement on a high speed chase Tuesday night.

Stanton County Sheriff Mike Unger says the driver of a pickup refused to stop after being clocked speeding near Woodland Park around 9:00 PM.  Sheriff’s deputies engaged in a pursuit that lasted for about 16 miles on country roads and ended seven miles north of Pilger in Wayne County.  Unger says the pickup crashed into a ditch when attempting to make a turn.
