Hero’s Wanted In Wayne County, Nomination Period Ends April 12

WAYNE – An English class at Wayne High School would like to celebrate the people who live or work in Wayne County that have made a difference in the lives of others.

According to a release, so many times we do not take the time to thank these everyday heroes and they don’t even know the impact they have made.

All are invited to write a letter explaining why this person has been a hero to you or to others and submit by Friday, April 12.

Items needed are the first and last name of the hero, address and phone number (if known), explanation of why they are your hero and your first and last name.

Anyone can nominate a hero as they just have to either live or work in Wayne County.

The awards will be presented on May 3 at the high school with a time to be announced later.

To send your letters, email jemayo1@waynebluedevils.org or mail them to Jesse Mayo, 611 W. 7th Street Wayne, NE 68787.

For any questions, contact Mr. Mayor by email or call the school at 402-375-3150 during the day.
