WAYNE – Commissioners in Wayne county will have a handful of agenda items that are seeking approval along with several appointments during Tuesday’s regularly scheduled meeting.
From the Public Safety Annex (meeting moved from the courtroom due to due to air conditioner work being scheduled at the courthouse) , the Board of Commissioners will open their meeting at 9:05 a.m. and hear about the renewal of the their health insurance from Elkhorn Valley Insurance shortly after. The board will then look to approve resolution No. 20-10 of consenting to offer Cash-In-Lieu as an option to group health insurance.
Commissioners are also considering to move a half day holiday for the Wayne County Fair to Christmas Eve, resulting in a full day off on December 24.
Pat Brentlinger will provide a courthouse chiller maintenance update, the board will also look to appoint Dan Fehringer to a five-year team on the Veterans Service Committee before taking action on 10 lodging tax grant applications from the Wayne County Convention & Visitors Bureau Committee.
Doug Elting with Berggren Architects will give another update on the courthouse restoration project at 10 a.m. as Nick Coil with Trade Wind Energy will be on hand at 10:15 a.m. seeking approval on the Haystack road maintenance agreement.
Highway superintendent, Mark Casey will also provide road and bridge updates along with wind energy updates.
Executive session about personnel is also on the agenda before the Wayne county board of commissioners will look to take action on an audit agreement for Wayne County financial statements.
