WAYNE – With the ice and cold weather sidelining the cookie sales, Girl Scouts of Nebraska has announced they’ll be extending their cookie program for just over a week.
Initially scheduled to end in early March, girl scout cookies will now be sold through Sunday, March 11.
Again, 100% of the revenue from the Girl Scout Cookie Program stays in Nebraska. According to a release, girls and their troops use their cookie proceeds for community service projects, leadership development, camping and outdoor experiences along with Science Technology Engineering Math (STEM) programs.
Contact Brandy Saltzman, Brownie/Junior Leader for the Wayne Girl Scouts for more information at 402-369-0569.
