LINCOLN – There will be a Special Landowner Deer Season, made possible by the passage of LB 126 and 287, according to a release from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission.
This will allow qualifying landowners the ability to hunt on their land the Saturday, Sunday, and Monday before the November firearm deer season.
In other business, the commissioners approved grants for Land and Water Conservation. Grants ranged from $57,000 to $400,000, depending on the size of the town.
The 2021-25 Statewide Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan was approved at the commissioner’s latest meeting. This evaluates recreational opportunities and summarizes demographics.
A marketing plan for the new year was enacted. This includes the Game and Parks’ centennial celebration.
