FREMONT, NE — A former teacher in the Scribner-Snyder school district is facing child abuse charges after police say he sent lewd photos to teenage boys.

30-year-old Bradley Hegemann, of Hartington, was arrested on Wednesday by the Scribner Police Department. He is charged with felony child abuse, contributing to the delinquency of a child, procuring alcohol to minors and enticement by electronic communication device. Each charge carries five counts and all charges are filed in Dodge County.

Court documents say Hegemann sent several nude photos via Snapchat to five underage boys between November 2017 and December 7, 2018. Police say he also requested photos from the boys. The affidavit says Hegemann purchased and supplied alcoholic beverages to the underage boys on several occasions.

The five boys are listed as between the ages of 15 and 18 years old.

Hegemann was a teacher in the Scribner-Snyder district from August 2014 to May 2016. He was listed as an English teacher until recently on the Hartington Cedar Catholic School website. KMTV reports that Hegemann resigned on Thursday.

Hegemann is out on $15,000 bond.
