WAYNE – The monthly mobile food pantry truck will be visiting Wayne this weekend.

The Omaha food bank truck will distribute food at Our Savior Lutheran Church located on the corner of fifth and Main Street on Saturday, January 25 at 10 a.m.

For those wishing to get food from the food truck, need to arrive by 9:30 a.m. to sign-in and receive a number to assure they get food and also bring boxes or bags to assist in carrying food.

There are also jobs for people of all physical abilities as this is a great opportunity to help others in the community.

Volunteers are also needed for the following activities:

  • 8:30 – 9 a.m.: room setup, stack folding chairs and set up tables
  • 9 – 10 a.m.: unload food truck and arrange food on tables
  • 10 – 11:30 a.m.: distribute food, help clients load food in their vehicles then clean up and put room back to it’s original arrangement
