WAYNE – Employees at a northeast Nebraska bank recently concluded their annual soup cook-off event.
According to a release from State Nebraska Bank & Trust, the Fourth annual Employee Soup Cook Off was held the week of December 2. The event raised funds for the local Wayne Food Pantry.
Employees made different kinds of soup for lunch each day and then voted on the best tasting ones after donating. Homemade soups included shrimp gumbo, taco, pasta fagioli and more.
Conni Davis’s sirloin chili received the most votes.
Overall, SNB employees raised $416 to donate to the Wayne Food Pantry.
